Absolute Truth!!!
Absolute Truth!!!
Over the years, I have written many articles on Astrology and spirituality, and if someone reads my older articles along with my recent writings, they may notice something interesting.
My understanding of Fate vs Free Will has changed. My understanding of Guru has changed. My approach towards Remedies and Gemstones has changed. My understanding of Astrology itself has evolved. Even on various spiritual subjects, I have expressed one perspective at one point in time and a somewhat different perspective later.
Someone reading all these articles may naturally wonder:
“Which one is the final conclusion?”
“Which opinion should I believe?”
“Which version is correct?”
The answer may actually be quite simple: None of these views needs to be treated as an absolute and final truth.
Understanding Changes With Experience
When I look back at my own journey, I can see that these changes were not necessarily because one version of me was right and the other was wrong.
They happened because my understanding changed. As our experience changes, our perception changes. As our perception changes, our understanding changes. And when our understanding changes, the conclusions we draw from our understanding can also change.
For example, something that appeared absolutely logical to me ten years ago may not appear equally convincing today because I have experienced more things, observed more people, studied more deeply and, most importantly, experienced life differently.
Therefore, my present understanding is naturally different from my understanding of ten years ago. And there is no reason why it should not change again ten years from now. This is the natural movement of a living consciousness.
The Problem of Looking for the Final Answer
However, there is a potential problem here. When people read different articles written at different stages of my journey, they may start trying to determine: “Which opinion is the correct one?”
They may compare one article with another. They may try to reconcile every contradiction. They may try to find the final philosophy. They may spend hours analysing whether the older conclusion or the newer conclusion is more accurate. But perhaps this entire exercise misses the point.
The purpose of any understanding is not merely to collect conclusions. The purpose of understanding is to help us evolve.
If one particular understanding helps you see yourself, your life and your circumstances more clearly, then perhaps you can work with that understanding. You don't necessarily need to wait for someone to announce that it is the Absolute Truth.
There Is No Need To Find Absolute Truth
I personally don't think we need to waste our lives searching for some final, absolute conclusion about everything. In fact, I don't think there is an absolute truth available to us at our level of existence.
There may be Reality. There may be Existence. There may be something beyond our intellectual understanding.
But the moment we try to put that Reality into words, concepts, theories or conclusions, we are already looking at it through the limitations of our own mind and experience. Hence, what we call "truth" can often be truth from a particular perspective, at a particular moment, for a particular individual. And that can be enough.
There Can Be Many Truths
There are billions of people on this planet. Every person has a different history. Every person has different experiences. Every person has different conditioning. Every person has different levels of awareness and understanding.
So why should everyone necessarily arrive at exactly the same conclusion about life?
Perhaps there can be as many understandings of truth as there are people. This does not necessarily mean that every belief is factually correct. It simply means that our understanding of Reality is always filtered through our own experience and consciousness.
Therefore, rather than asking: “Which is the one absolute truth?” perhaps a more useful question is: “Which understanding resonates with my nature and helps me move forward?”
Find What Aligns With You
This is particularly important when it comes to Astrology and spirituality. You may read one theory about Fate and Free Will and feel deeply aligned with it. Someone else may read the same theory and feel that it does not resonate with their experience.
You may find one understanding of the Guru deeply meaningful, while someone else may have a completely different relationship with the concept.
You may find that certain Remedies or Gemstones make sense within your present understanding, while another person may reject that approach altogether.
Instead of getting trapped in an endless intellectual comparison, perhaps we can simply observe: What actually helps me evolve?
If a particular understanding resonates with your nature, then work with it. If it helps you become more aware, more responsible, more accepting, more conscious and less ego-driven, then explore it deeply. But don't keep standing at the crossroads forever, trying to determine whether your chosen road is the only correct road. Choose a direction and walk. Experience will tell you more than endless analysis ever can.
Don't Turn Articles Into Scriptures
This is also something I would like readers to understand. Please don't treat anything I have written as a final doctrine. Not even my latest article.
If you find something in my writings that resonates with you, take it. Experiment with it. Observe it in your own life. See whether it works for you. And if, after some years, your own experience takes you somewhere else, then be willing to leave the earlier understanding behind.
You don't owe loyalty to any opinions. You owe loyalty to your own evolution.
If tomorrow my own experience takes me towards a completely different understanding, I should be willing to change my view.
And if you continue holding an older view because it continues to make sense to you, there is nothing wrong with that either.
The purpose is not to agree with the author. The purpose is to understand yourself.
A Living Person Keeps Changing
Osho has often spoken about this idea in different ways: only a dead person can remain completely consistent. A living person keeps changing. A living person experiences something new. That experience changes his understanding. The changed understanding changes his response to life. And the process continues.
So, if my writings contradict one another at different points in time, perhaps that contradiction is not something that needs to be hidden. It is actually a record of evolution. My older articles represent what I could see then. My newer articles represent what I can see now. And whatever I may write tomorrow will represent what I am able to see then. There is no guarantee that tomorrow's understanding will look exactly like today's understanding. And perhaps that is perfectly natural.
Truth of This Moment
Maybe what we call truth is also related to the moment in which we are experiencing it. Something can be true for you today because of what you are experiencing today. Tomorrow, a new experience may completely change your perspective. The truth of tomorrow may make the truth of today look incomplete. That does not necessarily mean today's truth was useless. It served its purpose at that moment. It took you to the next moment. And the next moment may bring another understanding.
Therefore, instead of trying to accumulate a collection of permanent truths, perhaps we can learn to remain receptive to life itself.
Let experience teach. Let awareness correct us. Let life challenge our conclusions. And when a deeper understanding arrives, don't be afraid to leave the older understanding behind.
Don't Waste Your Life Analysing Opinions
There is another important point here.
Sometimes the search for truth itself becomes another form of procrastination. We keep reading. We keep comparing. We keep analysing different philosophies. We keep asking which teacher is correct. Which theory is correct. Which interpretation is correct. Which opinion is final.
And in this entire process, we forget to live and experience.
At some point, intellectual analysis has to end and experimentation has to begin. If a particular understanding resonates with you, start living it. See what happens.
If you believe that life is governed by Divine Will, experiment with surrender.
If you believe that awareness can transform your relationship with your thoughts, practise witnessing.
If you believe Astrology can be used as a tool for understanding your patterns rather than merely predicting events, explore yourself through your chart.
The experience that comes from actually living an understanding is far more valuable than endlessly debating it intellectually.
The Only Thing That Needs To Remain Constant
Perhaps the only thing that needs to remain constant is not our conclusion, but our receptivity to truth.
We can change our opinions. We can change our theories. We can change our interpretations. We can even change our entire understanding of life.
But we can remain open to seeing more.
That openness is far more important than consistency of opinion. Because if I become attached to my own conclusion, then my conclusion has become another belief system. And once a conclusion becomes a belief system, I may start defending it instead of examining it. Then the search for truth stops.
So perhaps the real spiritual approach is: Don't become attached to what you currently understand. Use it. Live it. Experience it.
And remain available for something deeper to reveal itself.
Here is a version aligned with the theme and flow of the article:
Final Question
One final question that may arise here is:
Why not evolve yourself completely first and then start writing?
That way, there would be no need to keep changing your opinions, and readers would not have to deal with different conclusions at different stages.
Well, great!
But this would be like saying: “Why not learn swimming perfectly first and then enter the swimming pool? That way, you will never make a mistake while swimming.”
But how can you learn swimming without entering the pool?
You can read books about swimming. You can listen to people explaining swimming. You can understand all the techniques theoretically. But sooner or later, you have to enter the water. You learn swimming by swimming.
Similarly, you don't evolve first and then enter life.
You evolve by living life.
We go through different experiences, relationships, failures, successes, conflicts, realizations and changes in understanding. Each experience can expose something that we could not see earlier. That new seeing can change our understanding, and that changed understanding can change the way we look at life.
Therefore, waiting to become "perfectly evolved" before expressing what we understand would itself be an unrealistic expectation.
I write from where I am. Tomorrow, life may take me somewhere else. And if it does, I hope I have enough openness to acknowledge that my understanding has changed.
Because perhaps evolution is not about reaching a point from where our understanding can never change again. Perhaps evolution is the willingness to keep entering the pool, keep swimming, keep learning and keep allowing every new experience to teach us something that we could not see before.
Conclusion
There may be no final answer available to us at the level at which we currently exist. There may be no single philosophical conclusion that everyone must arrive at. There may be no need to determine which of my articles represents the "final" philosophy. My understanding will continue to change as long as I continue to experience life. And yours will continue to change as long as you remain alive and receptive.
So, if you find different opinions in my writings, don't get unnecessarily confused about which one is the final truth. There may be no final truth at our level. Find the understanding that aligns with your nature. Work with it. Put it into practice. Observe what happens.
And if life brings you a deeper understanding tomorrow, have the courage to leave today's understanding behind. Because perhaps the real purpose is not to find the final truth. Perhaps the real purpose is to keep evolving towards a deeper understanding of Reality.
Don't search for the truth that everyone must believe. Find the truth that helps you evolve, and walk with it until life shows you something deeper.
Gratitude!!!
