Meaning of Mercury's aspect through Houses for Aries Ascendant

Let’s take a look at those things which matter here – 

Mercury - It represents communication skills, marketing, calculative ability, younger siblings, hobbies, skills with hands, intelligence, quick decision making, logical thinking, youthfulness etc.

For Aries Ascendant people, Mercury rules the 3rd house & 6th house of chart with its sign Gemini & Virgo. So, let’s look at 3rd house, 6th house, Gemini and Virgo too. 

3rd house - It is house of your communication skills, neighbors, short distance travels, younger siblings, marketing, announcements, collecting information, hobbies and skills, self-efforts, business, courage etc. 

6th house - It is 1st of Dushthana Houses (houses # 6, 8 and 12) and 2nd of Upachaya Houses (houses # 3, 6, 10 & 11). 6th house represents things like diseases, debts, obstacles, enemies, disputes, competitions, litigations, under privileged people, pets, daily routine life, colleagues at work place etc.

Gemini - It is the 3rd sign of zodiac belt, so it represents many things related with 3rd house of horoscope like, Communication Skills (either written, oral or even by sign language), Marketing, Business etc. It is a sign basically related with communications and business ideas. Gemini is divided into 2 and half nakshatra of Mrigashira, Ardra and Punarvasu. Gemini's lord is Mercury, which is significator of Communications. 

Virgo - It is the 6th sign of zodiac belt, hence it represents almost all the things which are represented by the 6th house of horoscope like Debts, Diseases, Obstacles, Serving the under-privileged, Service Life, etc. Besides this, Virgo represents analytical or critical skills of people, being perfectionist and healing abilities. Virgo's basic representation is the lady coming in boat with wheat and herbs in her hands. So, Virgo is basically a sign of healing. Virgo consists of 2 and half nakshatra. i.e. Uttara-Phalguni, Hasta and Chitra. Virgo's lord is Mercury.

What will Mercury do in Aspect? – Now, Mercury can be sitting in any house of chart for an Aries Ascendant person.1st of all, Mercury will take the energy of house of chart, it rules with Gemini & Virgo sign, and take it to the house where it sits. Then from the house it sits, it will throw its aspect on the 7th house from its place. Now, as Mercury basically represents Communication, Collection of Information, Travelling, Teaching, Counselling and Advising, Mercury will make person communicate and counsel people related to the house it is aspecting about the houses it rules and also will make person collect information about the house it is aspecting. 

Things which I still can’t cover – Although, I am trying to make it a detailed analysis of planetary aspects but I still can’t cover few things like dignity of planet involved, like Mercury conjunct with other planets, if there are planets in 7th house from Mercury where it aspects in which case those planets will aspect back at Mercury and impact it, and planets aspecting Mercury from other houses. That’s why, no matter how detailed analysis you do in Astrology, there are still few things uncovered and that just shows the limits of Human Efforts. 

Now, let’s see the meaning and impact of Mercury's aspect through different houses for Aries Ascendant people. 

Mercury in 1st house – Mercury will be in Aries here. This person will be all about communication but as Mercury is in Mars ruled sign, it gives a very direct speech, depending on Mars position, it can be harsh too. As Mercury aspects 7th house, these people like to communicate with their spouse about their interests, hobbies and daily work life. Communication is necessary in this relation. They also like to collect information about Business they run or can run. They want to learn about their spouse and business. 

Mercury in 2nd house – Here Mercury is in Taurus. It shows that someone earns his wealth through communication, counselling, interests, hobbies in his daily life. That's how they earn their wealth. It can also be a Finance Consultant. Mercury's aspect on 8th house also suggests that person is interested in counselling and learning about other people wealth. At the same time, person is curious about occult and mysticism and loves to collect occult info. 

Mercury in 3rd house – Mercury is in own sign Gemini here. Highly communicative people. They are probably in work related with communications and counselling. Mercury aspects 9th house and again shows their curiosity towards higher education. They would love to collect lots of information about higher education, religion, philosophy etc and communicate about it. Communication is highly important here for them to grow. 

Mercury in 4th house – Mercury is in Cancer here. This shows someone who likes to communicate and counsel about health matters and taking care of people as Mercury rules 6th house of diseases. Mercury's aspect on 10th house also shows that person wants to communicate and counsel through his career. It can show someone as health and fitness consultant. They want to spread information about health matters through their career. 

Mercury in 5th house – Mercury is in Leo here. This shows a very creative and skillful person. They use their skills in teaching people as 5th house relates to education and Mercury represents Teaching. They are most probably in education field. Or they earn through their hobbies and interests. Mercury's aspect on 11th house shows they want to use their skills for social welfare and higher humanitarian goals. They also want to learn how to increase their gains and income. 

Mercury in 6th house – Here, Mercury will be exalted. This shows someone who is excellent in working with details and numbers. So normally, people with Mercury exalted go in Auditing or Editing field in their daily work life. Mercury aspects at 12th house shows that they like to communicate with Foreign People or in Foreign Companies. They want to collect information about Foreign Lands and Spirituality. They will be eager to travel to Foreign Lands. They are very clever and almost cunning with their communications. 

Mercury in 7th house – Mercury is in Libra here. This shows a great businessman, counselor, consultant or diplomat here. In relations also, it is based on communication. If they can't communicate with their partner, relation won't survive for long. Mercury aspects the 1st house which shows that through communicating with others and partner, they understand themselves better. They come to know about their own life path and individuality, if they are able to communicate with others well enough. 

Mercury in 8th house –Mercury is in Scorpio here. A natural curiosity towards Occult and mysticism is there. It is more so as Mercury is karaka of Astrology. So, an Occult Counselor can be seen here who serve people needs in Occult. Mercury aspects to 2nd house shows that they want to communicate about Occult to their family. This also shows that someone wants to learn about new ways of making wealth and improving his speech. 

Mercury in 9th house – Mercury is in Sagittarius here. A natural inclination for travelling, higher learning, religion and philosophy. They love to study more and interact with people of different ethnicity. They can be seen as Teachers, Preachers, Counselors and Gurus. Mercury's aspect on 3rd house shows that they want to communicate everything that they learnt in 9th house. It also shows that they want to learn about how to improve their communication skills. They also want to learn about improving Business skills. 

Mercury in 10th house – Mercury is in Capricorn here. This shows someone who is in field of Law and Govt. We can easily see a Legal Counselor here or someone in Govt or Politics. They want to communicate about Law and Govt. And Mercury's aspect on 4th house shows exactly where they want to communicate, i.e. to people of home land. So, a Career in Law or Politics can be seen here. Mercury's aspect on 4th house also shows that they want to learn how to interact with people at home or home land in a better way. 

Mercury in 11th house – Mercury is in Aquarius. This shows someone working in Large Organizations as a Counselor or Guide to people in his work life. This also shows someone who is using his skills and interests for higher humanitarian goals and social welfare. Mercury's aspect on 5th house shows that they want to teach and educate people about their skills & interests and they would also like to learn & educate themselves to improve their skills. 

Mercury in 12th house – Mercury is debilitated in Pisces here. Debilitated Mercury is something I am least bothered about. This shows a very highly creative and imaginative person who lives in his own world of imagination. Hence, they become most creative and imaginative authors. They can also be seen as Spiritual Counselors. Mercury's aspect on 6th house shows that they want to communicate and counsel people through their knowledge and spirituality. This also shows someone who wants to learn about how they can improve their counselling skills so that they can help people resolving their disputes and obstacles. 

So, this is a basic idea of how Mercury's aspect will work in different houses for Aries Ascendant people. Communication, Counselling and Travelling will remain the main themes with Mercury.
